01
Discover
Understand the business, the users, and the constraints that will still be true on launch day.
We start with conversations, artifacts, and the current path work actually takes — including the spreadsheet nobody wants to admit exists. We identify stakeholders, systems of record, risks, and what 'done' would mean in operational language, not slide language.

02
Define
Turn ambiguity into a product plan someone can disagree with.
Scope is a decision. We write the objects, the first slice, the out-of-scope list, and the environment plan. If AI is involved, we specify where judgment is required and where software should simply move data. You get a plan you can show finance and engineering without translation.

A written plan before a wall of screens
03
Design
Experience and visual system, including the states nobody puts in a Dribbble shot.
Flows, wireframes, UI, and a token-level system. We design empty, error, permission, and loading as first-class. Prototypes settle arguments that frames cannot. Engineering is in the room so we do not invent a component the platform cannot afford.

Overlaps build on purpose
04
Build
Engineer the product as if another team will inherit it — because they will.
Typed application code, tests that protect the rules that matter, and a repo a stranger can run. We keep the design system in the codebase. Preview URLs replace screenshot theatre. The architecture stays boring enough to debug at 1 a.m.

05
Integrate
Connect APIs, AI, payments, data, and the third parties the business already bought.
Adapters, webhooks, idempotency, and mapping. Integrations fail at the edges — rate limits, partial payloads, retries. We treat those as product features. If a model is in the loop, evaluation and logging ship with it.

Often the true critical path
06
Deploy
Move the system into production like adults.
CI, environments, migrations, DNS, CDN, secrets, backups. Observability is not a phase after go-live; it is how we know go-live happened. Rollback is a practiced path, not a slogan.

- Backup notes
A habit, not a weekend
07
Optimize
Measure, learn, and change the next true thing.
Instrumentation, qualitative noise from actual users, performance budgets, prompt or query tuning. We keep a backlog that is allowed to say no. Retainers exist for this chapter; so does a clean handover if you take the wheel.
